Colorants for Cosmetics Industry

Chromium Dioxides The shades range from dull olive green, to blue green, bright green. It is used in most categories of cosmetic preparations, but is prohibited for use in lip products in USA.
Ultramarines The shades range from bright blue to violet as well as pink and green. These too are not allowed for lip products in USA.
Iron Oxides These feature three basic shades - black, yellow and red and find usage in face powders, liquid foundations and blushers.
Mica It gives natural translucence when used as face powder and powder blusher.
Manganese Violet It has a purple shade.
Iron Blue The color shade is dark blue and it finds usage in wide range of cosmetic applications.
White Pigments - Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide These White pigments have wide usage in cosmetics. Their properties allow them to be used as quality covering powder. Being totally inert, these are stable to heat and light.
Each group of Dyes is subdivided into Green, Violet, Blue, Yellow, Red, Orange, Brown and Black
